All General X-Rays and CT Examinations are Bulk Billed

New MRI MBS Item Numbers

From 1st January 2006 the HIC has introduced a MRI MBS item number for hepatobiliary disease. Referral for this procedure needs to be from a specialist gastroenterologist or specialist surgeon. This item number covers suspected biliary or pancreatic pathology, which includes MRCP. Although not covering specific liver imaging, it does include any other suspected pancreatic disease or hepatic disease which has a biliary component.

Derby Street

Plain X-rays will not be performed at our Derby street rooms on Saturday mornings.
Comprehensive imaging (including all plain films, examinations and bulk billed CT) are available at our Castlereagh street rooms on Saturdays as usual.
